In the Music Room David

10.34 In the Music Room: David, Robert & Alex are Ton Prob production mastering "THRAK" from "On Broadway" for the King Crimson Collectors' Club Nos. 5 & 6. When King Crimson returns to the front line in quartet form, calls will begin for the return of the Double Trio. This will continue the convention of paying greater attention to the prior Crim formation than the Crim Beast currently available at your friendly neighborhood disco (should you wish to have your ears pressed to walls at distances of up to 3 miles). This a prediction from the guitar stool.

In Japan the 1981-84 Crim wasn't quite accepted as pukka until Crim the Double Trio validated the prior incarnation. Conventional wisdom had Crim 1973-74 the classic formation. Extending the logic, the 1999-2002 quartet Crim won't be fully accepted until the formation which follows. "Listen to `Cirkus'" suggests the Venal Heartless Raging Ferocious Control Freak Non-Leader.

Dan the Hero's posting from today (local time) & yesterday (experiential Seattle time) coincided closely with the turning of two keys in their locks here in England. Disciplineglobalmobile.com is now underway. Key elements of our available future are now plugged in and download is beginning.

Yesterday afternoon Andrew Moyer, his wife Yvonne & Anna the Toad visited for tea. Yvonne entered Guitar Craft through our first course in Holland. She stayed here seven years ago, in what is now Chateau Hugh (aka The Hovel). Andrew took a look at the Sixteenth Discourse from Futu al-Ghaib he'd sent: "This is about creativity, although it may not look like it". I am exceptionally fortunate to have several Brothers I may consult in need, & who poke me from time to time to stir me from my customary lassitude.

Andrew's poke yesterday: a question on my understanding of the nature of discipline & its connection / role / function in transformation. Yo! you might say. Yo! I might say as well. Andrew has a better knowledge of the mechanics of questing than I have of the guitar & guitar playing. Andrew told me of the stash of papers relating to Mr. Gurdjieff at the Library of Congress, and therefore outside the control of the Gurdjieff Foundation. Apparently, some of these papers include correspondence between Mr. Bennett and the Foundation in New York during its beginning period & which casts an interesting light on Mr. Bennett's continuing status as persona non grata. This subject has not yet been explained to my satisfaction, although I know of several opinions on both sides.

17.34 "Elephant Talk" is now being tickled & vibrated to the accompaniment of David & Robert pumping down tasty cakes. But the big excitement of today is a notion of David's from yesterday. Tuesday seems to have been a pivotal day all round. So powerful is David's idea that the Big Three have been immediately galvanised into action. Leaving for lunch today I told David: "Now I know what you're dong here".
